The school was established on 17th March 2008 as co-educational Primary school. The new building was inaugurated and blessed by Bishop Stephen Lepcha on 25th August 2011, and named Mother Teresa Memorial School, name chosen by the local people.
From the very start Namchi Public School is supporting this school to provide quality education to the children of the village. The school conducts classes from Nursery to class 5.
