St. Mary’s school is located 5 miles from Rongli bazar towards Rolep in Sungdung village. Fr Brahier’s visit and contact with six families of Lokdara village came to realize the faith and accepted Catholicism. In the initial stages, the Holy Mass was celebrated in Mr Joseph M B Gurung’s house at lokdara. Fr Alphonse Lingdamo purchased a plot of land at Sungdung in 1982. The school was built in 2007.
